Christian Louboutin

Island Planning Corporation designed and installed a living façade for the Christian Louboutin boutique, integrating architecture and landscape into a single system. The façade consists of oolitic limestone cladding vegetated with a curated mix of orchids and epiphytes, selected for their adaptability to the site’s microclimate.

Plants were mounted directly into the stone, creating a layered, living surface that evolves over time while maintaining durability in an exposed environment. The installation delivers a distinctive botanical identity at the street level, reflecting IPC’s expertise in integrating plant systems with architectural materials.
